For 3 minutes and 15 seconds, we will be awestruck as the Moon eclipses the Sun, casting a breathtaking shadow over the landscape for an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime sighting!
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Event
In Jackson, the eclipse will be a deep partial, boasting an impressive magnitude of 98.7% totality. Starting around 2:16 pm, the skies will begin to dim as the Moon slowly moves in front of the Sun. By 3:29 pm, Jackson will experience the peak of the total eclipse, lasting until approximately 4:38 pm. It’s a celestial phenomenon you won’t want to miss!
