THE AUTUMN EXPRESS
All Aboard the Autumn Express
Autumn Express is the last Notch Train excursion of the year, and a very special October 16 fundraiser to benefit local childrens’ charities.
It travels from North Conway to Sacro lake, and includes an hour layover to get out and enjoy the beautiful autumnal surroundings. The regular fare includes appetizers, desserts, and a souvenir photo with the option of ordering a delicious box lunch prepared by Chef’s Market at additional cost, bringing their own picnic, or ordering from our snack bar. The First Class fare includes First Class seating and lunch, as well as beverage service, appetizers, desserts, and a souvenir photo.
Sunset Railcar Dinners let you relive the golden days of railroading as you travel aboard the elegant Dining Car “Chocorua.” Built in 1929 for service as a coach on the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, “Car 2570” was remodeled and put into service here in 1992.
For dinner, enjoy fine cuisine and a leisurely 1-3/4 hour journey through the Mount Washington Valley countryside on one of the “Sunset” departures. The dinner menu includes appetizer, salad, a choice of entree and dessert. Choose from a tempting selection of house specialties prepared by Crawford’s Restaurant.
Lunch is served daily on the 11:30 a.m. departure to Bartlett and on the 1:30 p.m. departure to Conway June 7th through October 21st. Dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays September 3 through October 12. Dinner also will be served on Sunday, September 1st and October 13th.
The Dining Car “Chocorua” seats 47 guests, is climate controlled, has a full liquor license, complete wine list, and is a smoke-free environment. Reservations are strongly recommended. Dining Car reservations may be made by phone at 603-356-9009, or you can make reservations online. Please visit the Schedule section of their website to determine what day and date you wish to dine with them. You can then buy online here and proceed through the reservation process.
