Cranmore Mountain Resort
First on our list is Cranmore Mountain Resort. Perfect for families, Cranmore has slopes suitable for all ages and all skill levels. They offer ski lessons and workshops for kids as young as three, and classes for everyone, including adults. Cranmore is also probably North Conway’s most accessible mountain, just a quick five-minute drive from downtown.
Do you prefer tubing? No problem! Cranmore Mountain Resort has snow tubing options galore. Their Tubing & Mountain Adventure Park offers 10 lanes of sliding with lift service, so you can tube to your heart’s content. Even if your kids aren’t natural-born skiiers, they are sure to love this. While you’re visiting North Conway’s favorite adventure park, don’t miss out on the incredibly thrilling mountain coasters, giant swing rides, and 700-foot seated zipline with side-by-side seating options.
Attitash Mountain
Another favorite ski spot near North Conway is Attitash Mountain Resort. This incredible winter wonderland spreads across two connected mountains, Attitash and Bear Peak. With 68 trails and 11 running ski lifts, you’ll have no shortage of skiing real estate to explore. Located smack in the center of the beautiful White Mountains, Attitash is considered New Hampshire’s leading year-round vacation destination. Neatly nestled in gorgeous Pinkham Notch, Wildcat offers more than 2100 vertical feet of terrain for skiing and snowboarding for any skill level. All runs are easily accessed by the incredible Wildcat Express Quad, so you can spend less time getting there and more time on the slopes. Great for everyone from novice skier to expert, Wildcat features legendary steeps, as well as the longest green beginner trail in all of New Hampshire! Wildcat Mountain also boasts the longest ski season in the state from November 9th all the way through May 3rd. This place is an absolute must try for your North Conway ski adventure.
King Pine
If you’re looking for a more quaint experience, King Pine might just be the spot for you and yours. Smaller than the other ski resorts, this mountain in Madison, NH, is a little more off the beaten path, just about 38 minutes away from Christmas Farm Inn and the North Conway area. They offer all kinds of adventures from skiing and snowboarding to snow tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and even night skiing! King Pine features shorter runs great for kids and beginners, but also has its share of steep, more difficult trails for more experienced skiers.
