Our AVEDA Concept Spa exists to make sure your stay at the Christmas Farm Inn is a sanctuary from the pressures of the outside world.
"We do get outside guests at the spa, but the majority of our spa users are guests at the Inn," said Spa Manager Jaime Robinson. "We have not advertised in the newspaper, so there are many locals that do not know that we are here."
The spa offers a variety of services to those 14 or older, from different types of massage to facials to waxing to nail services.
She said the most popular service offered is massage, and many spa users enjoy the Stress Fix Massage, a focused treatment that uses Swedish massage techniques along with some deep tissue techniques to reduce muscular tension and increase circulation in high stress areas of the body (shoulders, neck, face, upper back and forearms) along with a specific foot reflexology treatment.
"Our licensed therapists can always find a client's problem area and will work on it," Jaime said. "I hear so often from our guests that they have a lot of tension in their shoulders. Many guests think of the word 'massage' as pamper and relaxation, but our therapists are dedicated to healing, improving guests' health and giving them exercise and stretching tips to take home with them."
To get the most out of the AVEDA Concept Spa experience, Jaime recommends communicating with the therapists, letting them know needs and how they are responding to the pressure being applied. Guests may also want to come a little early for their appointments, change into a robe, take advantage of the facility by using the steam room ahead of time, shower, sample our AVEDA products, and try our AVEDA tea.
"If they plan ahead of time, they can order wine or champagne for after their services, even an assortment of foods from our spa menu, such as fruit and cheese platter or finger sandwiches, warm apps, etc."
The spa is located in the Carriage House at the top of the estate. When arriving at the Christmas Farm Inn, please continue past the main buildings until you reach a T-Junction. Bear right and continue up the hill past the Log Cabin all the way to the end. Please park outside the Carriage House. You will find the Spa on the lower level, just down the staircase to the left.
